Senator Dorsey Ridley honored as a ‘Friend of Kentucky Cities’

4th District State Senator Dorsey Ridley was honored with a “Friend of Kentucky Cities” award at the City of Henderson’s board of commissioners meeting this week. The “Friend of Kentucky Cities” award is given by the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) to legislators who perform outstanding work in the legislature advocating for issues that impact cities across the state.

KLC Deputy Executive Director J.D. Chaney stated in a release the Kentucky League of Cities appreciates the dedication and hard work put forth by Senator Ridley during the 2015 legislative session, and he has continued to be a champion for Kentucky’s cities and his wide-ranging and consistent support is appreciated.

KLC Executive Director and CEO Jonathan Steiner also said Senator Ridley has been a strong voice for Kentucky cities in Frankfort, and the KLC appreciates the relationship they have with him and are pleased to give him this award.

Ridley, of Henderson, serves the 4th District which includes the counties of Caldwell, Crittenden, Henderson, Livingston, Union and Webster.
