A Webster County attorney is among Governor Matt Bevin’s appointments to state boards and commissions.

According to a release, Tommy J. Fridy, of Sebree, was appointed to the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and will represent Western Kentucky. He will serve a term expiring January 21, 2020.

The Kentucky Oil and gas Conservation Commission is composed of five members, four of whom are appointed by the Governor. The Commission is charged with ensuring that no deep well is drilled until the merits of such drilling have been fully reviewed, thereby preserving the environment in and around the deep well.
