A Saline County, Illinois man has been charged with murder in connection to the disappearance of his estranged wife.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office says 56 year old Brian Burns of Harrisburg, IL. was arrested Wednesday morning around 7:45 and charged for first degree murder in connection with the disappearance of 49 year old Carla Burns who was last seen around 3:30 Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
The murder is still being investigated by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department, Illinois State Police, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Saline County Coroner’s Office, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services, as well as other agencies.
No other details have been released.
