Rolling Road Blocks for Overhead Sign Truss Installations Starting Monday near HENDERSON

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans another round of rolling road blocks and brief traffic stoppages along the KY 425 Henderson Bypass and US 41 in Henderson starting Monday, November 2, 2015.

The brief traffic stoppages are planned at the following times and locations:

Monday, Nov 2nd
9:00 a.m., CST, US 41 at mile point 11.25 eastbound near the KY 425 Henderson Bypass
1:00 p.m., CST, US 41at mile point 13.14 near the KY 812 Intersection
2:00 p.m., CST, US 41 at mile point 13.01 near the KY 812 Intersection

Tuesday, Nov 3
8:00 p.m., CST, US 60 both directions at mile point 17.27 between KY 2241 and Keyway Drive
10:00 p.m., CST, US 60 eastbound only at mile point 17.43 between KY 2241 and Keyway Drive

Wednesday, Nov 4
9:00 a.m., CST, Audubon Parkway at mile point 1.23 westbound lanes- rolling road block

All times are approximate. Each of these rolling road blocks with a short traffic stoppage is designed to create a break in traffic to allow the contractor to set overhead sign truss structures above the roadway. These structures range in size from about 50 to 60 feet.

Kentucky State Police will assist by slowing traffic several miles from the work area to create a gap in traffic. The contractor expects traffic stoppages at these locations of about 5 to 10 minutes duration. However, in most instances the halt in traffic has been shorter.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and stopped traffic at these locations and times. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

This overhead sign truss installation to prepare for new signage to allow the Pennyrile Pkwy to become part of Interstate 69.
