Post 2 Trooper Honored For DUI Enforcement Efforts

Madisonville, KY – On Wednesday, December 2, the 2015 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards ceremony was held at the Louisville Marriott East. Law enforcement officers from across the Commonwealth were recognized for their efforts to remove impaired drivers from Kentucky roadways.

Statewide in 2014, there were 4,334 crashes involving alcohol which resulted in 156 fatalities and 2,067 injuries. Agency-wide, the KSP made 7,225 DUI arrests in 2014.

Trooper Cody Kromer, from KSP Post 2 Madisonville, was recognized at this ceremony for his outstanding job performance to remove impaired drivers from our roads. For the enforcement period, which ran from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015, Tpr. Kromer arrested 66 impaired drivers.

A resident of Providence, KY, Tpr. Kromer began his career with the KSP in April of 2012. Prior to joining the KSP, he was an officer with the Providence (KY) Police Department for nearly five years. He is also a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Tpr. Kromer is currently assigned to Hopkins County.
