POLITICAL ACTION GROUP NAMES A TRI-COUNTY LAWMAKER A LEGISLATIVE CHAMPION

A Tri-County lawmaker is one of six State Representatives who will be getting support this Fall from a political action committee. Americans for Prosperity-Kentucky has named 12th District Representative Jim Gooch of Webster County and five other House members as legislative champions based on their leadership on policies that work to remove barriers to opportunity and improve Kentuckians’ lives. Specifically, AFP-Kentucky State Director Andrew McNeill says Representative Gooch has been a principled voice for sound energy policy in the House of Representatives. His effort to level the energy playing field by eliminating market distorting net metering subsidies demonstrates his commitment to protecting utility ratepayers. McNeill says the organization is excited to get to work and encourage fellow Kentuckians to re-elect Gooch and the five other legislative champions, Rep. Richard Heath (KY-02), Rep. DJ Johnson (KY-13), Rep. Brandon Reed (KY-24), Rep. Kevin Bratcher (KY-29), and Rep. Phil Moffett (KY-32). Gooch serves all of Webster and McLean Counties and portions of Daviess and Hopkins Counties.
Gooch is being challenged by Democrat Bruce Kunze of Utica in the upcoming November General Election.
