Police: Woman arrested on several charges after fight at local hospital

Authorities say a fight in the emergency room at Methodist Hospital in Henderson over the weekend led to the arrest of an Evansville woman for several charges.

Henderson Police report officers responded to the hospital at 1305 North Elm Street on Sunday where they reportedly found 39 year old Nichole Renshaw waiting in the lobby to pick up her boyfriend. Police say Renshaw was yelling inside and outside the hospital, and refused to lower her voice after being asked repeatedly. According to authorities, the woman admitted to drinking earlier in the evening. Police say Renshaw was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center.

When searched by staff at the jail, authorities say they found several loose pills in her purse after she had been read a warning by jail staff concerning contraband and they indicate she did not disclose that she had the pills.

Renshaw was booked into the jail and charged for third degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), second degree disorderly conduct, first degree promoting contraband, illegal possession of a legend drug, and prescription of a controlled substance not in proper container.
