Police seize 5 pounds of meth in Owensboro with a street value of $150,000

Multiple law enforcement agencies seized over 5 pounds of meth with an estimated street value of 150-thousand dollars during a drug bust Wednesday afternoon.

The Owensboro Police Department Street Crimes Unit, along with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and FBI executed a search warrant at a home on Leslie Lane around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon and found the crystal meth. Owensboro Police say the seizure of the meth was part of an existing investigation being conducted in the Owensboro Daviess County area.

OPD arrested and charged 41 year old Tomas Perez with Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (> or = 2 grams of meth). He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.

Police say the investigation will continue and the possibility of additional arrest and search warrants exists.
