Police: Juvenile Charged With Robbery at Madisonville Convenience Store

Authorities have charged a 16 year old juvenile in connection to a robbery at a Madisonville convenience store.

Madisonville Police tell WMSK News that officers were dispatched to Huck’s around 4:50 a.m. Sunday where the victim, Joshua Shock, stated the juvenile stole items from the store and then punched him in the face and then fled the scene. Police say Shock had redness on his face where he was hit by the teen. Witnesses reportedly saw the juvenile flee north behind Walgreens where officers found and detained him.

According to police, video showed the juvenile reach behind the counter and grab some items. Witnesses told police they saw the teen steal the items and advised Shock who confronted the 15 year old who then punched Shock. Police say the video showed the confrontation and the teen push Shock out of camera view.

Authorities say the juvenile stole four (4) Black & Mild Cigars, hit Shock and then fled the scene.

The juvenile was charged with second degree robbery and released into the custody of his mother.

(MPD originally reported the juvenile was 15 years old, but now say he is 16 years of age)
