Authorities in Owensboro are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store.
According to Owensboro Police, officers responded to a robbery call around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday at Franey’s Food Mart in the 800 block of Carter Road.
Police say the initial investigation showed that an unidentified white male entered the business armed with a handgun and demanded money from the register. The subject then fled the scene before officers arrived and reportedly got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The person of interest is described by police as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and a medium build. Police say he was wearing a dark scarf covering his face, light blue ball cap, dark shirt, dark shorts and dark shoes.
