Police: Evansville man arrested in Henderson for trafficking heroin laced with Fentanyl

An investigation into the sale of heroin in Henderson led to the arrest of a 26 year old Evansville, IN man.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports 26 year old Corey Green was located at the Downtown Inn in Henderson and was taken into custody on a warrant issued after undercover agents from the sheriff’s office and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force purchased Heroin from him. Police say the Heorin was then sent to the Kentucky State Police Lab in Madisonville for analysis where the results showed the heroin was laced with the drug Fentanyl, which is 50 to 100 times more toxic than morphine and 100 times more potent than heroin.

Green was booked into the Henderson County Detention Center under a 10-thousand dollar bond on charges of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance and importing heroin.

In addition, authorities say sheriff’s detectives charged Green with an unrelated charge of Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $500 stemming from a theft that occurred on April 29, 2016 at the True Vine Inn located at the Twin Bridges.
