Owensboro man charged with residential burglary

An Owensboro man has been charged in connection to a residential burglary in Daviess County.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to the 5300 block of Lower River Road around 8:00 p.m. Saturday where the homeowner stated his house was broken into and several items were taken from the property as well as from inside the home. Some of the items reportedly stolen included a fishing boat with trailer, a moped, and several firearms.

During the investigation, a deputy reportedly found some of the stolen items at an address on Conway Avenue. Authorities say the resident, 37 year old Larry Husk Jr., admitted while speaking to deputies that he had broken into the home and stole the items from the residence on Lower River Road.

Husk was taken into custody and booked into the Daviess County Detention Center for first degree burglary.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the case. Authorities are still searching for some of the items that were stolen and have not been recovered.
