New Uniontown Police Officer Sworn In

Uniontown has a new police officer after a swearing in ceremony Monday night.

Uniontown Police Chief Jeffery Hart tells WMSK News 27 year old Kenneth Dalrymple, who currently resides in Morganfield, was sworn in at the Uniontown City Council meeting by city Attorney Michael Williamson.

According to Chief Hart, the new officer starts his law enforcement career with the Uniontown Police Department on Thursday. He says Dalrymple will be in training for nearly a year by the time he graduates the Police Academy, which is six months long.

A reception was held after the council meeting where family, friends and council members congratulated the newest employee.
