Neta Mayes Benningfield age 62 of Evansville, IN formerly of Sturgis, KY died Wednesday 1/23/2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN after a long battle with cancer. She worshiped her Lord at Haven Pentecostal Church & Faith Capel Grove Center Church. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother & grandmother. She was the oldest daughter of 9 kids in the Mayes Family. She enjoyed playing rummy with family & friends.
She is preceded in death by her father James Davis Mayes and a brother Johnny Mayes

Funeral 1PM on Monday 1/28/2019 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY. Rev. Phil Waggner & Rev. Billy McKendree will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday 1/27/2019 from 2PM – 6PM and Monday 10 AM until service time. Burial will be at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Neta Benningfield Memorial Fund at Whitsell Funeral Home.
