Mystery surrounds Lockport brothers’ deaths

LOCKPORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police are investigating what killed two Lockport brothers and left a third incapacitated and very ill.

Trooper Josh Lawson tells media outlets that on Nov. 20, police found 61-year-old Richard Parrish and 69-year-old Oscar Parrish deceased at their home.

A third brother, Dean Parrish, was sitting on the porch and was “very emaciated and malnourished.” He couldn’t provide police information about what happened to his brothers. Dean Parrish was taken to the hospital.

Lawson says the two brothers had been dead for several days.

Police don’t suspect foul play, but are “at a loss” as to what caused the deaths. Lawson says carbon monoxide poisoning has been ruled out.

Harris County Coroner Jimmy Pollard says autopsies were conducted over the weekend, but results are pending toxicology results.
