Multiple Individuals Arrested for Burglaries and Thefts in Daviess Co.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office has made multiple arrests in connection to several burglaries and thefts.

The sheriff’s office reported Sunday that on July 8, 2016 they took a report of a 4-wheeler valued at 35-hundred dollars that had been stolen from an outbuilding. They say detectives arrested 18 year old Colby Paris and 18 year old Spencer Stephenson on August 3rd for receiving stolen property of the 4-wheeler. Authorities indicate the ATV was recovered, but is considered a total loss due to damages.

During the late night or early morning hours on July 6 or 7th, deputies say persons entered the Peddlers Mall on Highway 144 east and while inside went to several vendors and removed several items including tattoo equipment, jewelry, and knives. Investigators reportedly arrested and charged Dylan Cantrell and Jordan Ward on August 5th for third degree burglary. The sheriff’s office says that investigation is ongoing with the possibility a third individual will also be charged. They say a small amount of merchandise stolen from that burglary has been recovered.

And investigators arrested Gregory Thomas and Crystal Basham with receiving stolen property in connection to a theft where over 14-thousand dollars worth of merchandise was stolen from a storage unit on Reid Road on July 30, 2016. Authorities indicate some of the stolen property has been recovered, however the sheriff’s office is requesting that anyone who may have purchased property from Thomas and Basham to contact the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
