MPD: Morganfield man charged with trafficking and cultivating marijuana

A Morganfield man was arrested late last night for allegedly trafficking and cultivating marijuana.

Morganfield Police Assistant Chief Chris Toman tells WMSK News Officer Stefan Douglas conducted a traffic stop for a possible DUI Monday night around 11:45 on US 60 within the city limits and arrested 44 year old Adam Toney after he found marijuana plants in the vehicle.

Toney was lodged in the Union County Detention Center for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, Trafficking Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Drug Unspecified), Cultivating Marijuana – 5 plants 1st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
