On the Evening of May 30, 2017 Sonja Martin and Dakota Harris was stopped by Lt. Colonel Vos for a Traffic Violation. During the stop Officer Vos detected an odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. Sergeant McCallister responded to assist with a search of the vehicle. A search was conducted and during that search multiple grams of marijuana was discovered along with large sum of cash, a pipe, and an electronic scale. During the stop the driver was checked for intoxication and was found to be under the influence of marijuana at the time of the stop. The driver admitted to having smoked marijuana in the car with their small child present then after smoking proceeding to drive with said child in the car minutes before being pulled over. Officer McCallister transported Harris to the jail; there Harris was found to be in possession of yet more marijuana and a digital scale resulting in more charges.
Sonja Martin was charged with operating motor vehicle under the influence, Possession of marijuana, trafficking Marijuana <8oz, possession of drug paraphernalia, wanton endangerment 2nd, failure to illuminate headlights.
Dakota Harris was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking in Marijuana <8oz, Possession of drug paraphernalia, wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, and promoting contraband.
