Morganfield’s “Jingle Bell Rock” Christmas Parade set for Sunday, November 22nd

The Morganfield Christmas Parade date has been set and applications to enter the parade are now available.

Union County Tourism Director Paul Monsour tells WMSK News the Christmas Parade will be held in just a few weeks.

The past two years, Monsour says the parade has been held in conjunction with the Winter Festival in downtown Morganfield, but this year the Winter Festival was moved up a couple of weeks. He says it will be a busy day in downtown on Sunday, November 22nd.

If you want to participate in the Christmas parade, applications are available now.

Monsour adds there will be three cash prizes of $100 presented to entries that best depict the Spirit of Christmas; for the Best Religious Theme; and Santa will name the winner of the Santa Claus Grand Marshall Award.
Union County Rescue Squad’s Rick Wyatt asks that all parade entries be at the park by 3:00 Sunday afternoon on November 22nd and the judging will take place before the parade begins at 4:00.

And…this year’s Christmas Parade Grand Marshall will be none other than Ole Saint Nick himself…Santa Claus…as in years past.
