Two Henderson County residents were arrested Friday night in Morganfield on various drug charges.
While conducting a routine traffic stop, Morganfield Police report 29 year old Samantha Piper and 35 year old Zachary Evans, both of Smith Mills, were taken into custody around 9:15 after officers and a Union County Sheriff’s Deputy found a variety of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, including but not limited to, marijuana, methamphetamine, amphetamines and glass pipes.
Piper and Evans were charged with Possession of Marijuana, Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, Evans was charged with Possession of Amphetamine and Illegal Possession of Legend Drugs.
Both subjects were lodged in the Union County Detention Center.
