METHODIST HEALTH TO REDUCE OPEN ENTRANCES, IMPLEMENT VISITOR RESTRICTIONS


HENDERSON & MORGANFIELD, KY – To keep our hospitals safe for patients, visitors and and our employees, Methodist Health will begin limiting visitor access to their hospitals at both the Henderson and Union County campuses.
Effective at 5 AM on Monday, March 16:

  • All visitors, patients and vendors will go through a screening process.
  • Both hospitals will be restricted to one entrance:
    o Emergency Department entrance in Henderson
    o Main entrance at Union County
    o Note: Employees will continue to have badge access to specific entrances.
  • Visitor restrictions include:
    o No visitors under the age of 18 including siblings.
    o Only 1 visitor per patient allowed.
    o Obstetrical patients may have one (1) visitor in addition to their designated support person (father of baby, significant other, partner). Must be the same 2 visitors throughout the patient’s stay.
    o Pediatric patients may have two (2) caregivers.
    o Exceptions will be made for end-of-life situations.
    o All non-essential visitors, vendors and contractors will be prohibited from entering the building during these restrictions.
