An Owensboro man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing a vehicle, as well as a license plate off of a vehicle in Morganfield.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports a 2003 Chevrolet Impala stolen on Fourth Street in Owensboro early Thursday morning was located at U.S. 41 & Watson Lane in Henderson around 10:30 a.m. along with the driver 29 year old Jereth Williams.

According to authorities, Williams was arrested for receiving stolen property over $10,000 and receiving stolen property under $500 for being in possession of a stolen license plate taken from Wal-Mart in Morganfield. Police say Williams admitted to taking the vehicle and license plate.

In addition, Williams was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, along with two Daviess County arrest warrants for failure to appear and probation violation for a felony offense. He was booked into the Henderson County Detention Center under a 15-thousand dollar bond.
