Man arrested after 2 found dead inside burning vehicle

MORGANTOWN, Ky. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a man who had been sought in connection with the slayings of two people found inside a burning vehicle in Butler County last week.

Kentucky State Police said in a news release that 33-year-old Charles W. Lindsey was taken into custody Sunday and charged with murder.

Police say troopers found the bodies Wednesday evening. The names of the deceased haven’t been released.

State police spokesman B.J. Eaton says the deaths were ruled homicides. The causes of death haven’t been released.

Two other suspects have also been arrested in connection with the deaths. Police said 22-year-old Arlexis Kawai of Bowling Green and 21-year-old Helen Rone of Roundhill were both arrested Friday and charged with complicity to murder.

It’s unclear whether they have attorneys.
