LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the cause of a condominium fire in Louisville, Kentucky, that claimed the life of a man and left 19 other people homeless.

According to WHAS-TV (http://bit.ly/1SgOWIy), firefighters received a call around 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Regency Three Condominiums.

Officials say firefighters were able to contain the fire within minutes, but significant damage had already been done.

Crews found the body of a man in a burned apartment in the complex. His identity has not been released.

Resident Evelyn Hood believes her smoke detector saved her life because she woke up when she heard it go off.

There were no reports of injuries.
