LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after he sustained a gunshot wound inside a Louisville home.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley tells local media that the shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday in a residence in the Algonquin neighborhood.
The child was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital, where he was in critical condition as of early Monday.
Smiley says other people were home at the time of the shooting but no one else was hurt.
Police couldn’t confirm where gun involved in the shooting came from.
