HENDERSON, Ky. (June 23, 2016) – John James Audubon State Park will host the opening of a photo exhibit by Linda Bruckheimer on July 9.
The exhibit, “Kentucky Unseen: Roadside Views of the Bluegrass,” features photographs of Kentucky viewed from winding country roads. It was inspired by a trip that Bruckheimer took with her mother along Route 66 from Kentucky to Hollywood.
The exhibit opening will be from 3-5 p.m. (CST). Tickets are $45 a person. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Kentucky State Parks Foundation, Preservation Kentucky and the Friends of Audubon. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Bruckheimer, who was raised in Kentucky, has been praised for her preservation and philanthropic work. She has been honored by the Kentucky Heritage Council and Preservation Kentucky. Centre College recently honored Bruckheimer with an honorary degree for her service to the Commonwealth.
She is married to film and television producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

John James Audubon State Park is the site where Audubon studied and painted birds from 1810-1819. The park is equipped with cottages and a campground, and offers many recreational opportunities, including a nine-hole golf course, six miles of hiking trails, fishing and more.
