The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane along a section of KY 1078/Spottsville Camp Road in HENDERSON County on Wednesday & Thursday, June 22 & 23.
A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Geotech crew has been drilling to test sub-surface soil and rock density to assist with design and engineering to prepare for eventual construction of a New US 60 Green River Bridge. To facilitate this work, traffic on KY 1078/Spottsville Camp Road will be restricted to one lane just north of US 60 in the Spottsville community.
This work zone lane restriction will be along KY 1078/Spottsville Camp Road at mile point 17.5 in Spottsville.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers from approximately 6 a.m., CDT, to approximately 2 p.m., each day, weather permitting. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Approximately 200 vehicles travel this section of KY 1078 in an average day.
Construction of a new US 60 Green River Bridge at Spottsville is on track for a start date in late-2018 or sometime in 2019.
