Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews are spreading salt this morning across 5 of the 11 counties of District 2 as a weak weather system has dropped accumulations ranging from a dusting to about 1/2 inch of snow on area highways.
At 4 a.m., CST, crews had trucks on the road in Caldwell, Daviess, Henderson, McLesn, Union and Webster Counties. Hancock County rolled 2 trucks out at 4:30 a.m., to spot treat bridges, overpasses, and potential trouble spots.
While radar indicates a widespread area of light snow, it appears to be reaching the ground in a spotty pattern.
Motorists are advised to use appropriate caution and adjust driving speed to meet localized conditions.
