Green River District Health Department and Audubon Area Community Services, Incorporated will be offering a health coverage information event for Union County residents.
Green River District Health Department Program Manager of Community Access Projects Suzanne Craig says this is an opportunity for anyone who does not have insurance to see what options are available.
She adds that many people go without coverage because they think it will cost too much.
If you do not have health insurance, Craig says you will be required to pay a penalty.
According to Craig, many people do not try to enroll for kynect health coverage because they view it as charity.
The community event will be held Wednesday afternoon, December 16th, from 2:00 until 5:00 at the Morganfield Senior Center.
