Kyndle Forms Task Force to Review Its Future Structure

The KYNDLE Policy Board has formed a special task force to review the organizational components of KYNDLE. The goal of the task force is to help determine the optimal structure for the organization to provide the best return on investment for its stakeholders and members.

Last fall, a more narrowed analysis of the Chamber side of KYNDLE was done and from that a refocused/rebranded Henderson Chamber of Commerce emerged within KYNDLE. With the current task force review of the entire organization, additional changes, improvements, or redesigns may be needed in order to provide more efficient and effective services for its stakeholders. Once the review is complete, those recommendations will be made to the Policy Board.

This task force assignment comes in light of a recent announcement by one of KYNDLE’s public stakeholders. With the continued tightening on budgets in public sectors, Union County Fiscal Court has decided to discontinue its financial support of KYNDLE effective July 1, 2019, which is the beginning of the fiscal court’s budget year. In anticipation of some potential public funding decreases, KYNDLE had budgeted for some possible decreases in revenues at the beginning of 2019, so the impact from this pledge loss for the immediate year can be absorbed.

KYNDLE is committed to doing what is best for our communities and will continue providing day to day Chamber and Economic Development services.
