KSP: Two injured in 2-vehicle wreck in Todd County

NEWS RELEASE

ELKTON, Ky. (July 12, 2016)The Kentucky State Police is investigating a two-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on Stringtown Road, on Tuesday, July 12, at 3:37 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jeffrey Case, 36, Elkton, was operating a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on Stringtown Road. Lilly Mosley, 18, was operating a 2006 Pontiac G6 southbound on Stringtown Road. As Mr. Case was traveling northbound, he looked away from the road for a moment. His vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and struck Ms. Mosley’s vehicle. Mr. Case’s vehicle came to rest in the middle of the road. Ms. Mosley’s vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and came to rest off the road. Mr. Case’s vehicle caught fire. He was able to exit it before it became engulfed in flames.

Both operators were transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Trooper Brian Graves is investigating the collision. The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, Todd County Rescue, Todd County EMS and Todd County Emergency Management assisted at the scene.
