KSP: Traffic stop nets arrest of Hopkins County man for possessing meth

KSP POST 2 NEWS RELEASE

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) – On January 8, 2016, Trooper Robert Austin initiated a traffic stop for a speeding violation and reckless driving on a 2003 Pontiac passenger car. The traffic stop was conducted on Highway 189 South approximately 1 mile south of Greenville.

During the course of the stop, KSP says suspected methamphetamine was observed in plain view. It was also determined that the operator, 36 year old Jonathan R. Ruby of White Plains, was found to be possessing methamphetamine on his person.

Ruby was lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center on the following charges:
1) Speeding
2) Reckless Driving
3) Tampering With Physical Evidence
4) Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
