KSP: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of Hopkins County woman

KSP NEWS RELEASE

Earlington, KY (Hopkins County) –  On April 28, 2016, at 8:07 P.M., Trooper Jon McGehee conducted a traffic stop on a 1989 Toyota passenger car, on West Main Street, in the city limits of Earlington.  During the course of the stop, marijuana and prescription medication were located inside the vehicle.  An investigation determined that the passenger, Cheyenne C Langhorne, age 20, of St. Charles, was in possession of the contraband.  Mrs. Langhorne, which was the owner of the vehicle, was placed under arrest and lodged at the Hopkins County Detention Center on the following charges:

1)       Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense

2)      Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree

3)      Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense

4)      Possession of Marijuana

The operator of the vehicle was issued a citation for traffic violations.
