KSP: Three Injured in Single Vehicle Collision

NEWS RELEASE

OWENSBORO, KY. (September 21, 2016) – Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on the William Natcher Parkway around the 68 mile-maker, just south of Owensboro. The preliminary investigation revealed that Tyler Poole, 23 of Bowling Green, KY was travelling northbound on the William Natcher Parkway in his 2010 Honda passenger vehicle. Poole stated he fell asleep while driving and ran off the shoulder of the parkway. Poole then over-corrected his vehicle causing it to overturn multiple times before final rest in the median.

Poole was transported by Yellow Ambulance to Owensboro Health to be treated for his injuries.

Passengers:
Judith Poole, 70 of Bowling Green and Bobby Poole, 75 of Bowling Green were also transported by Yellow Ambulance to Owensboro Health. All three participants were injured; however, the extent of their injuries are unknown.

At this time of the investigation, it is unclear if seat belts were utilized.

The northbound lanes of the Wm Natcher Parkway were impacted for over an hour as emergency crews worked to clear the collision scene.

The investigation is on-going by Trooper Tim Payne.
