KSP: Single vehicle collision in Hopkins Co. sends one to the emergency room

St. Charles (Hopkins County) –On Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 9:33 P.M., a single vehicle collision with injuries was reported to the Kentucky State Police Post Two. KSP reports 18 year old Bethany L Hunter, of Hopkinsville, was operating a 1995 Pontiac passenger car eastbound on Kentucky 112, approximately 1 mile east of St. Charles, when she lost control of her vehicle, and traveled down an embankment off the south side of the roadway. After traveling down the embankment, the vehicle reportedly struck a concrete culvert. Hunter’s vehicle came to final rest facing north, blocking both lanes of travel.

According to police, Hunter was transported by Medical Center EMS to Baptist Health Regional Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Madisonville Towing removed the vehicle from the scene. St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department and the Kentucky State Highway Department assisted at the scene.
