Kentucky State Police Post 1 Mayfield is looking for a 40 year old female who escaped Wednesday night from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex near Eddyville.

Kentucky State Police say they were contacted around 9:00 Wednesday night by staff at the correctional complex after a head count search was discovered and it was discovered Lostia Shreves, of Cecilia, KY, was missing.

Shreves is described as a white female, 5’7” with short brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of her escape, state police say she was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, khaki pants, white t-shirt, a fisherman style hat and black boots. However, authorities indicate a grey sweatshirt and other inmate clothing was found near the grounds of the correctional complex. Police say it is possible the 40 year old woman may have changed her clothes.

Around 9:10 Wednesday night, KSP say they received a report of a stolen pickup truck from a residence near the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. It is possible, according to police, Shreves may be in this vehicle described as a maroon 1997 Ford 150 with a Kentucky license plate number of 847-2CG.

Shreves is serving time for probation violation for a felony offense for charges of first degree possession of a controlled substance, unlawful distribution of meth precursors and third degree burglary.

If anyone has any information or contact with this subject, please contact Kentucky State Police Post 1 Mayfield at 1-800-222-5555.
