Oak Grove, Ky. (July 11, 2016).  The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single vehicle, injury collision that occurred on I-24, at approximately the 89 mile marker, on Monday, July 11, at 8:15 a.m.

KSP says the preliminary investigation revealed that 26 year old Sarah Gleissner, of Clarksville, TN, was operating a 2014 Jeep Cherokee westbound on I-24 when she lost control of the vehicle due to heavy rain. Police say Gleissner’s vehicle began to slide out of control before exiting the roadway and colliding into the cable barrier.  The collision reportedly caused disabling damage the Jeep Cherokee.

Gleissner, who troopers say was wearing her seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN for treatment.

KSP is investigating the collision. The Oak Grove Fire Department, Oak Grove EMS and the Christian County Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
