KSP investigating stabbing in Livingston County

Kentucky State Police are investigating a stabbing after a Livingston County man was airlifted to an Evansville hospital Thursday night after police say he was stabbed in the stomach by his wife.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 Mayfield reports they were contacted around 10:25 p.m. Thursday by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance on Sheila Drive in Ledbetter where Ronald Cobb was found with a stab wound to his abdomen. Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that Cobb was stabbed by his wife, Brenda Cobb, during a domestic dispute.

According to state police, Cobb was removed from the scene by the Livingston County EMS and later airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. As of 2:00 a.m. Friday, KSP indicates Cobb was in surgery and his condition was unknown.

The Livingston County Jailer, Livingston County EMS, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department assisted KSP at the scene.
