KSP Investigating Fatal Collision in McLean County

One Vehicle with Five Participants: Four Injured and One Deceased.

BEECH GROVE, Ky. (March 29, 2017) – Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a one vehicle collision on KY 56, approximately three miles west of Beech Grove, (McLean County) KY.

The preliminary investigation revealed that around 5:40 am, Allen Rodriguez, 29 of Sebree, KY was travelling east on KY 56 in a 2006 Honda Pilot SUV. For an unknown reason, Rodriguez overcorrected his vehicle causing it to run off the right shoulder. His vehicle then struck a tree and crashed into a ditch at final rest.

Rodrigues was taken by Air Evac #10 to Deaconess hospital in Evansville, IN. His condition is currently unknown. At this point in the investigation, Its believed he was wearing his seatbelt.

Maria Pascual, 29 Sebree, KY was the front seat passenger. She was pronounced dead on-scene by McLean County Coroner Will Muster. She was utilizing her seatbelt.

Rear passenger Manual Gasper, 29 Sebree, KY was taken by McLean County Ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY. His injuries are unknown. He was utilizing a seatbelt.

Jose Riso Berto, 29 of Sebree, KY was also a rear passenger. He was treated on-scene and released. He was wearing his seatbelt.

Rear passenger Walter Francisco Pascual, 32 of Sebree, KY was transported by Air Evac #46 to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville IN. His injuries are unknown. He was also utilizing a seat belt.

All participants are employed by a local farmer and were traveling to work.

At this point in the investigation, it is too early to know whether speed, drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.

The investigation is on-going by Trooper Tim Payne. KSP was assisted by McLean County Sheriff’s Department, Beech Grove Vol Fire Dept., Central Fire and Rescue, Air Evac, McLean County EMS, McLean County Coroner’s Office and Tri-State Towing and Recovery.
