KSP: Hopkinsville man injured in vehicle vs semi wreck on Pennyrile Parkway

Crofton, KY (Christian County) – The KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement is investigating a two vehicle, Injury collision that occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway, northbound, at the 19 mile-marker, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at approximately 3:33 p.m.

According to state police, the preliminary investigation revealed that 66 year old Kenneth Hatzakorzian,  Hopkinsville, KY, was operating a passenger car southbound on the Pennyrile Parkway when he apparently lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median, entered the northbound lane and collided with a semi-tractor trailer driven by 35 year old Damian Trocoso, of New Laredo, Mexico.

KSP indicates Hatzakorzian was transported to Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY, and then transported to Skyline Hospital in Nashville, TN via Ambulance. Trocoso was not injured.

KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer John Sweeney is investigating the collision. KSP Troopers, Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Christian County Fire and EMS, and the Christian County State Highway Department assisted at the scene.
