KSP: Henderson Woman Airlifted to Hospital After Single Vehicle Wreck

A Henderson woman was injured in a single vehicle wreck this afternoon after police say she fell asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle.

Kentucky State Police responded to the accident around at 1:33 p.m. Thursday on U S Highway 60 in Spottsville. Police say 52 year old Sandra Turner, of Henderson, was driving westbound on US 60 when she fell asleep behind the wheel the vehicle and exited the right shoulder of the roadway. Turner’s vehicle then crossed over a driveway, struck a mailbox and entered a residential yard.

Turner was airlifted from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville for non-life threatening injuries.

Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Henderson County EMS, Spottsville Fire Department and St. Mary’s Air Evac.
