KSP: Fleeing or Evading Police Arrest

Hartford, KY. (July 10, 2016)On July 10, 2016 at 1:15 AM Kentucky State Police, along with Ohio County Sheriff’s Office and Hartford Police Department, were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint when officers observed a vehicle make an improper u-turn on KY 69 N.

According to KSP, a pursuit began when the operator, Stoy Bratcher Jr., refused to stop and led officers to a residence on Autry Lane in Olaton at which point he exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers successfully apprehended Bratcher and determined him to be under the influence of alcohol.

Bratcher was arrested and charged with Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle); Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (On Foot); Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree-Police Officer; Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence (Aggravated Circumstances), 1st Offense; Resisting Arrest; along with additional traffic charges.
