KSP: Central City Man Charged with Receiving Stolen Property

NEWS RELEASE

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police has charged a Central City man with receiving stolen property.

On Wednesday, January 13, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Trooper First Class Jerry Knight responded to a complaint of stolen firearms from a residence on Charlie Brown Road. It was determined that five firearms had been stolen from the residence earlier in the day. Through the course of the investigation, Tfc. Knight was able to locate the stolen firearms. The stolen firearms were recovered and returned to their owner.

As a result of his investigation, Tfc. Knight charged Mathew Churchill, 25, Central City, with the following: Five counts of Receiving Stolen Property – Firearms (Class D Felony)

He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
