Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville is welcoming two new troopers to its ranks after the pair graduated from the KSP Academy in Frankfort last week.

According to KSP spokesman Stu Recke, 29 year old Trooper Robert Austin of Central City has been assigned to Hopkins County, and 23 year old Trooper Brian Graves of Iron Mountain, Michigan has been assigned to Crittenden County.

The new troopers are part of the agency’s 93rd cadet class who started a 23-week training cycle in May of this year in a class that consisted of 70 cadets. KSP says twenty-five cadets resigned during the weeks of mental and physical challenges that followed.
