KSP Arrests Ledbetter Man on Methamphetamine Trafficking & Firearm Charges

Smithland, KY (September 29, 2016) On Thursday, September 29, 2016, Gregory S. Sallee, 48, of Ledbetter , KY turned himself in to the Kentucky State Police. Sallee had warrants for numerous drug trafficking and firearm related charges.

Late last week, the Kentucky State Police along with The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division, executed a search warrant at Sallee’s residence in Ledbetter in reference to an ongoing investigation involving large amounts of methamphetamine trafficking.

During the search, detectives located over 4 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, a semi-automatic handgun, an assault rifle, and a large amount of cash believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking. Also located were numerous types of drug paraphernalia along with prescription medications.

Sallee was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine (Class C Felony), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (Class D Felony), Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon (Class C Felony), Trafficking in Marijuana less than 8oz. 1st Offense (Class A Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor), and Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Oxycodone (Class C Felony).

Sallee was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

The Kentucky State Police was assisted by The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division and The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

The investigation is continuing by The Kentucky State Police Post 1 Mayfield.
