KSP: 1 year old boy injured in single vehicle wreck in Caldwell County

KSP POST 2 NEWS RELEASE

Fredonia, KY (Caldwell County) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on US 641, in Fredonia, Wednesday morning around 9:25.

According to state police, the preliminary investigation revealed that 30 year old Christopher Peek,  of Woodlawn, TN, was driving Chevrolet Malibu northbound on US 641 when he lost control of the vehicle in a curve on the wet roadway, causing the vehicle to cross the southbound lane and exit the shoulder of the roadway.  Police say the vehicle then traveled down an earthen embankment and overturned, coming to rest overturned on the driver’s side

KSP says Peek, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured, but his one-year old son, Christian Peek who was restrained in a child safety seat,  was transported via ambulance to Crittenden Health Systems for treatment.

KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department, the Princeton Fire Department, and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene assisted KSP at the scene.
