KMA District 14 participates in 11th Annual Adopt-A-Veteran Angel Tree Program

The Kentucky Motorcycle Association has helped brighten the Christmas holidays for some veterans in the tri-county area.

KMA District 14 Treasurer David Holt says they again participated in the 11th Annual Adopt-A-Veteran Angel Tree Program conducted by the Kentucky Career Center in Henderson. The program is intended to brighten the Christmas holidays for veterans living in residential care facilities in Henderson, Union and Webster counties.

According to Holt, the KMA was able to adopt 12 angels this year and purchased pajamas, warm ups, socks, t-shirts, house slippers, flannel shirts and lap blankets for their 12 adopted veterans.

He says gifts for the adopted veterans will be taken to the residential care facilities by Career Center staff members and distributed the week of Christmas.
