KMA District 14 3rd Annual Cell Phone Collection for Soldiers Scheduled Saturday, May 21, 2016

The Kentucky Motorcycle Association District 14 will be conducting its 3rd Annual Cell Phone Collection Drive this weekend where they collect cell phones in order to support our soldiers.

KMA District 14 Treasurer David Holt tells WMSK News the Cell Phones for Soldiers collection drive was founded in 2004 by a couple of teenagers who have provided millions of hours of free talk time to deployed soldiers, in addition to recycling thousands of cell phones.

He says the Kentucky Motorcycle Association heard about the program and decided to help out during May, which is National Military Appreciation Month. Holt adds that they always have the collection drive on Armed Forces Day, May 21st, which is Saturday.

According to Holt, all cell phones donated can be used for the collection drive.

If you want to help out and show your support for our troops the collection points will be at Wal-Mart in Henderson and Morganfield Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
