I-69/KY 56 Sebree Ramp Work Begins Monday, June 27

NEWS RELEASE

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans ramp work at the I-69/KY 56 Sebree Exit in WEBSTER County starting Monday, June 27, 2016.

The contractor plans to initially remove concrete barriers along the Northbound I-69 exit ramp to KY 56. To facilitate this initial work, the contractor will have flaggers positioned along the ramp to assist with traffic flow.

Once the barrier walls are removed, the contractor will be back at the site in the next few weeks to place a final asphalt driving surface on the ramp.

Additionally, the contractor will be starting additional work to correct a landslide along the northbound exit ramp from I-69 to KY 56. The contractor will be reworking the slope area along the ramp to help mitigate the landslide. While this work is expected to have minimal impact on traffic flow, motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

This work could continue for 4 to 6 weeks, depending on weather.
