HPD: Henderson woman charged with burglary

A Henderson woman has been charged for burglary.

Henderson Police reported today (Friday) that 37 year old Brandi Weaver was arrested Wednesday night around 7:50 at a residence on Larkview Drive on a warrant for second degree burglary.

According to police, 34 year old Angie Lukco reported on December 28, 2015 that electronic equipment was stolen from her residence while she was in jail in Union County. Authorities say Lukco later found out that a friend with a key had allowed Weaver to stay in the apartment, and then asked to stay in the apartment again a few days later. When the friend denied, the report says Weaver stated she would get a locksmith to let her in. Police say a detective interviewed Weaver on February 1, 2016 and she admitted to calling a locksmith to gain entry into Lukco’s apartment.

Authorities indicate the stolen property has not been recovered.

Weaver was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
